RVCC is looking to hire an APRN - Advanced Practice Registered Nurse!

Overview of Job Responsibilities :
- To competently and clinically coordinate and provide client care in a manner that respects the client's dignity, autonomy, and independent decision-making.
- To initiate and / or complete required documentation in a timely, systematic, accurate form; to include age-related assessment of biophysical, psycho-social, environmental, self-care, age-specific, and educational factors
- To participate actively in the quality improvement process and incorporate quality improvement findings into clinical proactive and coordination of client care in the department.
To also be involved in any administrative meetings as a representative of the medical staff.
To develop / initiate or assist in developing / initiating the treatment plan for each assigned client within appropriate time frames, in conjunction with the multidisciplinary treatment team.
Job Requirements :
Education Level - Master of Science in Nursing
Years of Experience - Five or more years’ experience as a clinical nurse specialist; experience working with chronically mentally ill populations required;
experience or desire to work with pediatric patients and bilingual (Spanish / English) ability a plus.
Licensing - Current DEA Controlled Substance Registration; current Controlled Substance Registration within the Commonwealth of Massachusetts;
current certification as a Clinical Specialist in Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing from the American Nurses Credentialing Certification.
Skills / Abilities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal skills; crisis intervention skills;
organizational skills; attention to detail; computer skills; good customer relations skills; knowledge of legal and ethical issues pertaining to the profession.
