Job Description : Recovery Coach
Recovery Coach
A member of the Addiction Consult Service to provide non-clinical support to individuals who present in an ED and / or Inpatient at Beverly and Addison Gilbert Hospitals post-overdose.
Serve as a recovery guide and role model in the management of recovery and assist the individual to identify and overcome barriers to recovery, connect the individual with recovery support services and encourage hope, optimism and health.
Provide support with problem solving and advocacy to assist individuals to meet their recovery goals. Provide education to individuals and family members on the recovery process.
As a member of the Addiction Consult Service, this position engages with patients who are high ED utilizers to coordinate with peer networks / natural supports, coordinate referrals to community social services providers, follow up on referrals and contribute to the treatment plan revisions.
