Job Summary
Senior Lead Service Manager, Quality is a quality subject matter expert and is responsible for the sustainability and growth of Purdue MEP quality services and supplier development.
Responsibilities and performance metrics include overall center revenue and impact generation through quality and related services.
Revenue generation will include the development and execution of service agreements (sales) with Indiana manufacturing companies.
This position will grow quality services by developing and performing client needs analysis and driving new product / service development to fulfill the needs of Indiana manufacturers as well as the development of partnerships with economic development groups and other organizations where Purdue MEP quality services can benefit organizational members.
Responsibilities also include developing partners / suppliers to provide new and innovative solutions for our customers. This position will work closely with the Lead Service Manager, Quality to ensure the center has adequate resources to achieve quality team goals and metrics including the generation of substantial impact through quality and related projects.
Contribute to the departmental budget and development of clear strategic and operational plans that elevate Indiana manufacturers to higher performance levels.
Qualifications
Required :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology or other related areas
- Seven (7) year's experience in manufacturing / business consulting experience implementing Quality Management Systems and attaining Quality Management System certifications including ISO9001, TS16949 or AS9100
- A valid US or Canadian driver's license
- Coaching and mentoring technical and professional staff members and selling professional services to manufacturing clients
- This experience includes assessing existing Quality Systems, identifying GAPS, and implementing improvements to close those gaps
- Ability to develop new business and sell technical services based on ROI
- Ability to meet sales performance goals and standards
- Ability to productively interact with manufacturing and business executives
- Technical skills including demonstrated mastery of Quality Management Systems in manufacturing, service, government, or education resulting in significant ROI
- Ability to translate improvements to bottom-line cost savings and / or top-line growth
- Ability to motivate, coach, and guide technical, professional, and business development staff
- Superior organizational and project management skills to manage multiple concurrent projects and initiatives from the execution of a technical service agreement to the project closeout
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in a fast-paced work environment with many interruptions
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to support the continuous improvement and quality of systems and procedures
- Lead Quality Auditor, Certification
Preferred :
- Successful completion of manufacturing quality improvement projects with a demonstration of significant Return on Investment (ROI)
- Supply Chain / Supplier Development experience
