Done Right Diesel is looking for a motivated and eager to learn shop hand. They will have a variety of tasks based on ability and willingness to learn.
Under the supervision of our Shop Hand will assist our mechanics as well as office staff. The Shop Hand is a vital part of operations to help keep the shop running smoothly.
Job Expectations :
- Assist mechanics in the shop.
- Driving vehicles to and from emissions, picking up and delivering
- Returning vehicles to customers
- Basic shop upkeep, cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Depending on experience, simple jobs beginning with oil, filter, and fluid changes.
- As time goes on these tasks can increase with knowledge
- Help keep technicians’ work areas clear and safe from debris and fluids.
- Boxing, mailing, or returning parts to vendors.
- Cleaning vehicles appropriately before returning to customers.
Job Requirements :
- Valid Driver’s License
- Clean Driving Record
- Ability to work independently.
- Basic automotive knowledge
- Willingness to learn.
- Physical tasks required to perform this job include lifting 60 lbs., standing, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling etc.
- Exposure to dust, gas fumes, and extreme temperature changes
Preferred but not required :
- Attended or currently attending school for automotive mechanics.
- Shop experience / general automotive background.
