Job Summary :
The Financial Analyst supports the financial planning and analysis function through financial forecasting, management reporting, variance analysis and annual budgeting.
This role uses business information and financial analysis to provide business insights, identify risks and opportunities, and support decision making.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Build forecasting, budgeting, and other financial models.
- Prepare and deliver monthly budget variance reporting to department stakeholders and management.
- Assist in preparing monthly dashboards and summary reports for financial review meetings.
- Provide support for breakeven reporting for branch and regional managers.
- Assist in providing profitability reporting by Loan Officer.
- Collaborate with business partners to provide financial analyses to help them improve the organization’s profitability.
- Monitor financial performance and perform analysis, including variance analysis.
- Perform financial analysis and advise on financial impact of proposed business decisions.
- Provide data-backed reports to support management in making strategic business decisions.
- Perform ad-hoc financial analyses as needed.
- Study industry specific business trends and peer group data to make recommendations for profitability improvement.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Effectively use software specific for the position and Microsoft office products.
- Work well with other members of the EHL team and be willing to fill in when needed.
Specific Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Required for Position :
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Strong Excel skills required, including Pivot Tables, SUMIFS, VLOOKUPS, and Macros.
- 2 - 4 years of experience in a financial analysis role, with demonstrated advancement in duties and / or responsibilities.
- Independent Mortgage Banking experience in a finance or accounting role, preferred.
- Proven high level of attention to detail.
- Prior Mortgage Banking experience in Sales, Operations, or another supporting role a plus.
- Exercise good judgment and strong character, motivated, hard working.
- Ability to work well with fellow associates, clients and vendors.
- Good communication skills. Neat, clean, healthy work habits.
Physical Requirements :
Requires all forms of dexterity and mobility throughout the shift, which may include extended periods of sitting and / or standing.
Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, twist, climb or balance, stoop, kneel crouch or crawl.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to speak and hear, lift and carry up to twenty-five pounds (25 lbs.) or occasionally more.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, occasionally noisy environment.
- May be required to drive for business purposes and if so, must hold a driver’s license in good standing and maintain personal auto insurance in compliance with EHL’s Auto Insurance policy.

Compensation :
The base hourly range for this position is $28.08 - $54.47, depending on a number of factors including location and experience.
