Product Manager II, Apps

New York, New York, USA

The Apps team owns the foundational services used by the App Builder and Workflow Automation products to accelerate developer, SRE and security teams’ remediation efforts through automation and tooling.

We're looking to evolve this platform by building capabilities to unlock new use-cases for App Builder, Workflow Automation, and other Datadog products.

As a Product Manager II for the App Platform, you will work with a team of designers, product managers and engineers to introduce the newest platform service : easily store and manage data for apps and workflows.

We are looking for a Product Manager that is technical and can go deep to build the right solutions for our customers, but at the same time is focused on the end-to-end user experience.

You will be working closely with the broader App Platform team on the Product Strategy, Go-To-Market, Business KPIs, growth and revenue goals.

At Datadog, we place value in our office culture - the relationships and collaboration it builds and the creativity it brings to the table.

We operate as a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmony that best fits them.

What You'll Do :

  • Develop a deep understanding of and empathy for engineers who build their own tools and workflows
  • Learn from our most sophisticated customers across any type of environment to be seen as an expert in the field. Provide that expertise within the product and by giving talks and expressing leadership in the industry.
  • Work with a broad range of internal cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing and customer success teams, to define GTM strategy and revenue opportunities
  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to develop and evangelize product priorities and roadmaps that inspire our teams' best work and deliver real value
  • Partner internally with other Datadog Product teams to understand what user process can be improved with the help of a simple, scalable and secure database system

Who You Are :

  • An experienced Product Manager, ideally at a SaaS company
  • You possess a deep understanding (and interest) in large scale database systems
  • You have a strong technical background and / or sense of the day in the life of an engineer who holds a pager.
  • You have Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent experience
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the willingness to present and defend your ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • You are customer-minded with a high quality standard for the product to be delivered

Datadog values people from all walks of life. We know not everyone will meet all the above qualifications on day one. That's okay.

If you're passionate about technology and want to grow your experience, we encourage you to apply.

Benefits & Growth :

  • New hire stock equity (RSUs) and employee stock purchase plan (ESPP)
  • Continuous professional development, product training, and career pathing
  • Intra-departmental mentor and buddy program for in-house networking
  • An inclusive company culture, ability to join our Community Guilds
  • Access to Inclusion Talks, our Internal panel discussions
  • Free, global Spring Health benefits for employees and dependents age 6+
  • Competitive global benefits

Benefits and Growth listed above may vary based on the country of your employment and the nature of your employment with Datadog.

The reasonably estimated salary for this role at Datadog ranges from $149,000 to $190,000, plus a competitive equity package, and may include variable compensation.

Actual compensation is based on factors such as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience. In addition, Datadog offers a wide range of best in class, comprehensive and inclusive employee benefits for this role including healthcare, dental, parental planning, and mental health benefits, a 401(k) plan and match, paid time off, fitness reimbursements, and a discounted employee stock purchase plan.
