Summary / Objective
The Detailing Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day scheduling or detailing tasks, tracking hours, and document control. This position is responsible for tracking all deliverables from the pre-con and construction team and schedule them within the available resources of the detailing team appropriately. This position is also responsible for the document control of all incoming and outgoing deliverables and contract documents utilizing Autodesk Vault and other storage mediums.
Primary Responsibilities / Functions
- Develop, document and implement detailing scheduling process and best practice within the department.
- Develop, implement and maintain detailing standard detailing document control processes.
- Engage with 3rd party partners such as Autodesk and Partner organizations to source training, implement productivity as it related to the Vault document control medium. Ability to develop the workflows for detailing scheduling and throughput and communicate those within the detailing department as well as to the larger Synergi team.
- Deliver regular training on relevant topics for the overall development of the detailing team as it related to scheduling, time tracking and doc control.
- Track current industry trends and best practice by engaging with internal and external customers and attending trade relevant training, trade shows, etc.
- Autodesk Vault Subject Matter Expert (SME) : Serves as internal coordinator for the implementation of the Autodesk Vault document control system.
- Development Activities work with the pro-core development team, pre-con and project managers to actively communicate scheduling processes and best practice.
- Ensure that the detailing workflows are in place and being followed.
- Coordinating with Pre-Construction, Construction PM and Engineering Personnel
- Ability to work with the Procore development team and develop meaningful reporting as to the performance of the detailing team.
- Ability to along with the pro core development team develop meaningful reporting for the development of capacity planning within the detailing team.
Required Skills / Attributes
Proficiency in reading and understanding construction documents and shop drawings.Proficiency in MS Office Suite, Procore, and Autodesk VaultExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work to a schedule and achieve timelinesProblem Solving / AnalysisStrong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectivelyRequired Education / Experience
Associate degree in project management or coordination or drafting. Bachelors degree preferred.7 years of related experience to our relevant industry of stairs, rails, and glass guardrails7+ years of project management, coordination and schedulingMust have experience using scheduling software (i.e. Procore)Experience in the construction industry specifically misc. metals fabrication a plus.Experience with logistics : Erection Project flow and schedulingExperience with logistics : Shipping Project Flow and SchedulingFamiliarity with AISC QC checklists and quality control processes as it pertains to document control and detailing process.Structural and Architectural Drafting and Detailing Experience a plusPrior experience in managing drafting schedules and resources is a plus.Required Certifications / Licenses

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration when on a job site. The noise level in the work environment can be loud.
The employee is required to have a clean workspace in home, hotel, etc. for virtual meetings, internally or externally with clients, vendors, etc.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active when on a job site and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and / or move items over 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Personal Protective Equipment
Utilize PP&E in compliance with OSHA standard and per site specific safety programs.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position (40 hours). Workdays are Monday through Friday, work times are dependent on department, projects, and supervisors request and approval.
