Description

A successful Customer Service Representative is one that strives to treat our customers better than anywhere else they have ever worked, adeptly uses technology to service customers, has a track record of excellent attendance and punctuality, takes feedback well and learns from coaching, and gets along well with people with very different backgrounds than their own.

The successful Customer Service Associate will be responsible for . . .

This position requires the successful applicant to excel at performing a wide variety of related and non-related job duties and responsibilities, including but not limited to :

  • Answering telephones and directing persons and / or telephone calls to the appropriate branch, department or person.
  • Receiving and delivering messages verbally and / or in writing.
  • Scheduling estimates, inspections, setting up new services and callbacks.
  • Resolving Customer Service issues.
  • Processing and responding to customer emails.
  • Providing administrative support to the department as needed including processing mail and other marketing materials.
  • Developing positive working relationships between the Customer Service Center, Corporate, and Branch personnel.
  • Participating in the development of new programs, the training of new employees, and the continuing education of current employees as requested by Customer Service Center Leadership.
  • Full participation in team meetings and training programs.
  • Working modified shifts including evening and weekends as needed.
  • Compiling data.
  • Operating computers, telephones, electronic calculators, fax machines, copiers, printers, and any other equipment used to effect the efficient, timely operation of the Customer Service Center Department.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

  • You must have a thorough working knowledge of computers, Microsoft Operating Systems, and Microsoft Office. Must be articulate, well-spoken, have excellent telephone skills and have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn and grow that lasts long after the 90 day probation period ends.
  • You must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.

Job Requirements

  • You must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check before beginning work.
  • You must speak clearly and effectively in English and dress in a manner suited to a professional office.
  • You must have strong telephone, computer and communication skills. A pleasant personality, good interpersonal skills and the ability to deal positively with fellow employees, occasionally under stressful conditions, is a prime requisite.
  • You must have a designated work area within your home that will allow you to perform the required job responsibilities.
  • You must live within a reasonable commute driving distance of our corporate office located at 555 N. Guild Avenue, Lodi, CA 95240 and have the ability to drive to the location as needed.

Work from Home Requirements

  • Appropriate workspace in your home, private / semiprivate home-office space free of distractions and background noise
  • A workspace with adequate furnishings (, a desk and chair) and lighting
  • Consistently reliable high-speed Internet service (broadband internet with a speed of 50 mbps or faster)
  • WIFI may be used but some users will need a wired connection to their router depending on their home usage and speeds (Cellular HotSpots are not acceptable)

Education and Specifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is preferred.
  • Candidates will receive initial and ongoing training and coaching and development designed to help them succeed in their role.

New employees will be issued a computer, including a keyboard and mouse, and headset to work remotely.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel;

reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, or crouch.

The employee may occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.
