The Field Service Supervisor is responsible for the efficient operation of contract field service technicians and CA technicians.

Field Service Supervisor shall also make recommendations to the Field Service Manager with respect to overall departmental activities in a manner that reflect the company’s vision of working as One Professional Team

Pay Rate : $46.00 - $58.19 per hour

Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience.

Essential Functions :

  • Oversees all the administrative needs and maintains the paper flow, including invoicing, customer feedback, and purchase orders
  • Establishes processes to insure timely and accurate invoicing
  • Aids in directing office staff to improve and maintain processes and procedures
  • Implements procedures to efficiently open, close and invoice contract work orders
  • Coordinates PIP completion to meet Caterpillar standards
  • Oversees warranty work order preparation and completion
  • Maintains and executes good house keeping and safety in the work area
  • Supervise Contract Admin central dispatch achieving CAT standards for on-time completion
  • Works with Fleet Department to ensure DOT / CDL compliance
  • Collaborates with Parts Admin to execute and fulfill back orders in a timely manner.
  • Maintain meaningful relationship with internal and external customers
  • Instruct office personnel and establish defined rolls and responsibilities
  • Assist scheduling and dispatching contract technicians
  • Gather and manage purchase orders
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing
  • Act as first point of contact for customer disputes
  • Basic understanding of the Caterpillar equipment line
  • All Other duties as assigned by manager

Supervisory Responsibilities :

Direct Reports : CA central dispatch, PIP technicians and all contract field service technicians

  • Completes timely performance reviews for direct reports
  • Assists in hiring and training Field Service personnel

Required Education and Experience :

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1-3 Year’s sales experience
  • 1-3 Year’s Supervisory / Management experience
  • 1-3 Year’s Technical or Mechanical Experience
  • 3-5 Year’s Customer Service Experience
  • 3-5 Year’s Administrative / Clerical Experience

Physical Demands & Competencies :

  • Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearing
  • Sedentary work that includes lifting and / or moving objects up to 25 pounds or more
  • Data Entry, telephone, reading / writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skills
  • Safety & Product Knowledge
  • Basic Knowledge of Microsoft PowerPoint
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, and Outlook
  • Intermediate knowledge of CRM / Sales Link
  • Intermediate knowledge of DSI / SIS Web / STW
  • Advanced knowledge of DBS

Work Environment :

  • Noise : Moderate
  • Environment : Indoors & Outdoors

Travel Requirements :

1-25%
