PositionOverview :

The ProductDevelopment Senior Associate will work across internal teams andexternal stakeholders to scale product development and expand ahighquality assortment.

Reporting to the Director of Merchandisingthe ideal candidate is a clear communicator who is invested innurturing relationships between the company and manufacturingpartners.

Responsibilities :

• Collaborate with the Product DevelopmentManager to serve as a point of contact between internalstakeholders and external manufacturing partners for new productdevelopment.
• Ensure the quoting and samplingprocess proceeds in a timely organized manner according to theProduct Development calendar.
• Advocate for theelevation of product quality and designstandards.
• Expand the network of manufacturingpartners by leveraging industry knowledge andconnections.
• Provide clear and concisetechnical feedback to manufacturing partners including reviewingproduct shop drawings.
• Partnercrossfunctionally with the Operations team to develop domestic andinternational supply chains for both existing and newcategories.

Qualifications :

• 47 years of experience in domestic orinternational design sourcing product development and / or productoperations; furniture startup experience is aplus.
• Experience in a home retail or boutiquecommercial furnishings manufacturing organization or designfirm.
• Experience moving products from conceptto market with strong knowledge of furniture design andconstruction.
• Ability to critically reviewfurniture shop drawings from manufacturingpartners.
• Connections within the industryincluding manufacturers and material resources are anasset.
• Creative negotiator with a provenability to navigate various stakeholders andpriorities.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCADrequired; working knowledge of Rhino and data management or PLMsystems (e.g. Fohlio Spexx Specsources) considered a strongasset.
• Proficiency in Excel Microsoft Officeand Google Suite.
• Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills.
