Key Responsibilities Under the direction of the Radiologist and the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS), administers ionizing radiation for the purpose of diagnosis which includes positioning the x-ray beam with respect to the patient, anatomically positioning the patient, selecting exposure factors, and initiating exposure.
b. Uses professional judgment to adapt imaging procedures to ensure quality diagnostic outcomes Qualifications
- Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program
- Current registration and licensure by the Arizona Department of Health Services (AZDHS)
- Current registration and licensure by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) American Heart Association BLS Demonstrated knowledge and abilities with the following : diagnostic catheterization procedures on patients with known / suspected peripheral vascular disease o procedures which may include pulmonary involvement, including radial, brachial, and neck approaches o stents, thrombolysis procedures, and peripheral interventions Work Requirements PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS : 1.
Able to handle multiple priorities simultaneously. 2. Effective oral and written communication skills, compliant with KHI vision, mission, and values.
3. Able to manage technical business equipment i.e. phone, fax, computer etc. 4. Able to assist with the movement / manipulation of a patient and equipment weighing up to and over 300 lbs.
5. Able to care for patients with infectious diseases. 6. Able to sit, stand, walk, and bend for the duration of the scheduled shift.
7. Able to demonstrate concentration and visual and auditory acuity to watch monitors and follow instructions during exams.
