  • Does the thought of helping give the gift of walking again to paralyzed pets and their families excite you?

If so, we may have the role for you!

About Us

With locations in South Florida and Virginia, Southeast Veterinary Neurology (SEVN) is one of the United States’ largest independent, veterinarian-owned neurology groups.

Neurology isn’t just something we offer. We are a single specialty group exclusively treating diseases of the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles.

Our purpose is to keep families together by providing second chances to pets with neurological disease and hope to the people who love them through compassionate neurological care to patients, empathetic service to pet parents, and humble expertise to the veterinary community.

With this purpose in mind, we're on a mission to help 70,000 families of pets with neurological disease over the next decade.

This is where you come in. To help us fulfill our purpose, we are looking for talented, motivated, and humble team players to join our mission.

About You

You have learned to be a technically competent and conscientious veterinary nurse with a minimum of three years of experience in a veterinary general practice (or a specialty setting).

You are adept at multitasking and can perform well under the normal pressure of a veterinary hospital.

You also have an eye for detail and be a stickler for keeping things clean and orderly.

When it comes to getting things done, you probably love a process or checklist so that things are done right and to a high standard.

You may have reached what feels like a plateau and are ready for your next move.

Specialty is an area you might have considered working in before, and you might even feel a little bit intimidated by the thought of making such a move.

Perhaps you’ve asked yourself questions like, am I really good enough?

Don’t let this be the reason not to apply. Because we are a single-discipline service, things are much more orderly and less chaotic than other veterinary specialty hospitals.

This gives us the opportunity to be able to train you intensively and provides you with the chance to get really good at what you do because you are not being pulled in ten different directions each day! It’s also evidence that growth and teamwork are baked into our values!

Although we are more orderly, it’s still fast-paced so you will need to be able to handle multitasking in an organized way.

When it comes to delivering great outcomes for patients, understanding what everyone else is working on is essential so you must be able to communicate effectively and harmoniously with your teammates.

About The Role

This work we do is both challenging and intense because veterinary neurology requires us to pay attention to the details and work to a high standard.

But, when we get it right, animals and their families experience the joy of seeing a loved family pet walk again. It’s an amazing thing to contribute to and your work will be a huge part of this transformation.

We run our hospital similar to a human hospital in that we are somewhat departmentalized, but cross-training is highly encouraged.

Depending on where your strengths lie and experience level, you may join our team in any of our specialized roles.

Saturday shifts are required and there are on-call shifts as well. We do provide additional compensation for the on-call shifts once you have arrived.
