Business Services Officer - Tax
We are seeking a Business Services Officer specializing in tax services to join our team. This role primarily focuses on providing exceptional customer service and retention by quickly and effectively completing customer requests and building strong relationships with our clients. The successful candidate will be responsible for completing timely and technically accurate income tax returns and performing related activities for a portfolio of farm entities. This position requires a proactive approach to customer service, offering high-quality, timely, thorough, and responsive service that meets and exceeds customer expectations.
Responsibilities
- Provide timely and technically accurate income tax returns for various farming operations and farmland owners, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and periodic payments.
- Offer tax planning and consulting services to customers, acting as the primary contact for all tax-related inquiries.
- Manage your schedule to complete customer returns and planning by set deadlines.
- Stay updated on current tax rules and regulations, sharing expertise through internal presentations and responding to questions from colleagues.
- Invoice customers according to established pricing guidelines and collaborate on industry events to promote tax expertise.
- Represent the organization at agricultural and industry events to enhance reputation and build community relations.
- Engage in special projects and initiatives, working collaboratively with the team to achieve goals.
Essential Skills
Proficient in tax, accounting, and tax return preparation.Minimum of 5 years of experience completing 190+ tax returns with a revenue target of 250k, depending on operation size.Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Tax, Finance, or related business field or equivalent work experience.Comprehensive knowledge of tax and farm accounting products, services, and regulations.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with CCH tax software and Centerpoint farming software is preferred.Familiarity with Redwing tax forms, including W2 and 1099s.Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong interpersonal skills.Sales and customer service skills, with the ability to manage time and organize tasks effectively.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and support the organization's vision and values.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $57000.00 - $114000.00 / yr.
