Purchasing Buyer
Buyer is responsible for the acquisition of materials and services via MRP reporting in a high mix, high volume, tier one Japanese owned automotive manufacturing facility.
Reports to the Purchasing Manager.
- Purchase stamped and molded raw materials, MRO, bar steel
- Expedite orders to meet delivery needs of equipment.
- Assist to coordinate delivery, installation and runoff of new tooling from parent company.
- Identify and develop new vendor partners.
- Negotiate price and terms with vendor partners.
- Communicate and lead changes in supply and price within Pacific Industries.
- Manage, solve and reduce vendor partner NCs.
- Communicate delays through supply chain
- Improve, evaluate and maintain supplier performance
Skill preferred :
- 1-2 years to purchase or assist to purchase steel, MRO components and like
- Proficient use of Excel and MRP software
- Experience to negotiate terms of delivery and contract pricing
Understanding of importing.
