Overview

Manage daily billing operations of all Silver Angels and Signature Lifestyles locations in accordance with company and state / federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in management duties including, but not limited to, hiring, training, and developing, coaching and counseling, and terminating department staff, as deemed necessary.
  • Ensure that all employment practices are administered fairly and without regard to race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, national origin, age, disability, marital status, amnesty, or veteran status in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • Collect, post, and manage account payments.
  • Prepare and submit clean claims to various insurance companies either electronically or by paper.
  • Answer questions from clients, office staff and insurance companies. Identify and resolve client billing concerns.
  • Prepare, review, and send client statements.
  • Take calls and assist clients and take payments on billing designated phone line
  • Evaluate financial status of clients.
  • Follow and report status of delinquent accounts.
  • Review accounts for possible assignment and make recommendations to Director of Accounts Receivable
  • Sit in and assist with monthly AR Calls with Silver Angels and Signature Lifestyles.
  • Perform various collection actions including contacting clients by phone, correcting and resubmitting claims to third party payers.

Qualifications

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or related field, preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED required or equivalent related work experience.
  • Minimum of one (1) year related medical billing / collection experience.
  • Knowledge of computer programs and ability to operate a computer and basic office equipment including copier, fax, scanner, and multi-line telephone system, etc.
  • Knowledge of business office procedures.
  • Knowledge of basic medical coding and third-party operating procedures and practices.
