As a Sustaining Engineering Manager here at Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful release and deployment of software solutions within the Honeywell Life Sciences business unit.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to coordinate and manage the release process, ensuring that software solutions are delivered on time and meet the needs of our customers.

Your expertise in release management and your ability to drive collaboration and communication will be key to the success of our software releases.

You will report directly to our R&D Director and you'll work out of our Hamilton, NJ location on a hybrid work schedule.

As a Sustaining Engineering Manager you will manage R&D teams developing solutions for Customers across all our TrackWise and TrackWise Digital solutions which include AWS and Salesforce products.

You will run Sustaining Engineering development teams effectively delivering solutions to address customer's specific needs as well as drive release coordination of all product releases to ensure all-around customer satisfaction.

In this role, you will impact the delivery of software solutions to our customers, ensuring that releases are delivered on time, meet quality standards, and align with customer requirements.

You will work with development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders to define release scope, plan release activities, and manage dependencies.

You will also be accountable for coordinating release schedules, ensuring release readiness, setting expectations in internal stakeholders and customers, and managing release documentation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and manage the end-to-end release process, ensuring successful delivery of software solutions to resolve customer issues.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define release scope, plan release activities, and manage dependencies
  • Prepare and review product notifications, in cooperation with the Product Management, Technology & Quality Organizations.
  • Own and drive the interface with Technology to ensure that product issues are being addressed according to agreed customer communication and resolution time frames.
  • Provide regular, timely reporting on performance, communicating issues with significant customer impact to senior leadership and make the case for needed resources.
  • Coordinate release schedules and communicate release status to stakeholders and customers.
  • Identify and mitigate risks and issues that may impact the release process
  • Continuously improve the release process by implementing best practices and driving process efficiencies

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years hands-on experience with Agile SDLC.
  • 2+ years leadership experience with technical teams.
  • 2+ years Project Management experience meeting specific deadlines.
  • 2+ years Customer facing experience and relationship building.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Experience with Quality Management, GXP, and Regulatory Software.
