Nurses, Registered

Registered professional nurses who provide direct nursing care to incarcerated individuals in a variety of State facilities, programs and settings.

Incumbents conduct health assessments; prepare and implement nursing care plans, diagnose and treat individual responses to actual, potential or diagnosed health problems through nursing services, such as case-finding health teaching and counseling, and the provision of care supportive to or restorative of life and well-being;

execute medical regimens prescribe by licensed health care providers; and serve as members of interdisciplinary health care teams and health-related committees to plan and implement care for individuals.

Must be able to work alone and independently. Must have hospital experience or urgent care experience. A criminal history check must be completed before the candidate is granted entrance into the facility.

• The results may take 7-10 business days for processing.Registered nursing tasks and activities include, but are not limited to : coordinating, directing and providing nursing care to individuals;
• administering treatments and nursing procedures within established guidelines and as prescribed by licensed health care providers;

consulting on nursing matters with treatment teams and other disciplines; and may provide clinical supervision and training to lower-level licensed and unlicensed direct care staff on nursing care activities such as the preparation, evaluation, and implementation of nursing care plans to ensure the provision of quality care.

The award will be made to the vendor(s) who provide the best overall value based on a combination of price and the experience and qualifications of the candidate.

Initial estimated service dates are for 08 / 12 / 24 - 08 / 11 / 2025, however services may be extended for up to a total of two years at the same rates upon mutual agreement between the hiring agency and awarded vendor(s).
