Enhanced education programs Discounted CEUs through our Certified Education DivisionMedbridge Subscription - unlimited CEUsClinical and Management Career PathsResidency programs available Position Purpose As a member of the therapy team, the Speech Pathologists primary function is to provide a thorough speech evaluation, diagnosis, a detailed plan of care including treatment goals and objectives, and consultation with referral sources, client / patient, family members, and other service providers.

Requirements Qualifications Licensed or eligible for licensure by the State of Illinois under the Illinois Speech Pathology Practice Act.

Member or eligible for membership in the ASHA preferred.General knowledge and skill enabling the evaluation and treatment of a wide variety of clients / patients such as neonates, pediatrics, young adults, adults or geriatrics.

Current certification in CPR and other service line-specific competencies. Essential Job Functions Perform client-centered evaluations and establish a Speech Therapy diagnosis and treatment plan.

Provide evidenced-based Speech Language Pathology treatment.Documentation, reporting, and information dissemination.Case management functions : evaluate effectiveness, revise the plan, and discharge from services.

Demonstrate Quality and Service Excellence Demonstrate behaviors that show a positive attitude, empathy and professionalism.

Demonstrate interpersonal skills by making customers feel welcome and respected as individuals; protecting their privacy and confidentiality.

Work as a team player; enhance team effectiveness through team building, and taking ownership in service line / organization problem-solving and quality improvement.
