American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ED Holding position caring for inpatient and CICU-level holds in the Emergency Department, requiring a strong PCU background and Epic experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the ED Holding unit within a hospital settingResponsible for inpatient and CICU-level holds in the Emergency DepartmentPatient population includes cardiac, medical, surgical, trauma, oncology, orthopedic, and overflow casesCommon diagnoses : chest pain, syncope, heart failure, sepsis, overdose, GI bleed, COPD, pneumoniaSpecial procedures include S / p cath with stent (no CABG), ICD / pacer insertions, and cardioversionsManages and titrates drips such as Lasix, Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Integrilin, Labatolol, Dopamine, and DobutamineUtilizes equipment including Bipap, Cpap, Vapotherm, Alaris pumps, and Phillips monitoring systemRequires experience with Epic EMRNight shift schedule : 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30Every other weekend requiredFloating requirements vary per unitCare for a diverse patient population in an ED holding environment with frequent critical care needsMust be able to manage and titrate a variety of IV drips for cardiac and critical care patientsSupport from interdisciplinary teams is availableFormer employees of any facility under SolutionHealth are not eligible for travel rolesDrug screening required within 14 days of startDress code and uniform policies to be provided by the facilityAll vaccinations or screening requirements must be met prior to startOrientation and training details provided upon assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active NH or compact RN license requiredMinimum of 2 years of experience, with a strong progressive care unit (PCU) background within the last yearEpic EMR experience requiredCurrent AHA or Red Cross certifications in BLS and ACLS requiredMust pass an EKG test on arrivalFirst-time travelers accepted only with 2 years of experience and Epic experienceReferences required for considerationTravelers within 50 miles accepted at local rate\n Benefits\n
