SUMMARY :
The Vice President of Sales will lead the sales department and manage sales operations. Duties include developing sales through select direct customer contact and creating department strategies, training staff, and setting sales goals for the team and their respective accounts.
The VP of Sales is the head of the sales department and is responsible for everything that happens within the department and ultimately responsible for the company’s sales performance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities : include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Utilize experience and relationships to expand business in retail and B2B business segments.
- Manage all sales team members and processes.
- Set sales goals and quotas.
- Create the sales department budget.
- Produce sales forecasts and reports.
- Research the market and competitors.
- Train, mentor, and motivate the sales team.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop effective promotional materials.
- Build relationships with customers.
Supervisory Responsibilities :
- Portray strong leadership and sales skills.
- Utilize analytical skills to evaluate data and make decisions.
- Understand market trends and adapt to follow those trends.
- Motivate and influence the team to achieve results.
- Demonstrate problem-solving and customer service skills.
- Exhibit strong organizational skills and strategic planning.
Qualifications :

Education and / or Experience :
- Minimum of associate’s degree; bachelor's degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in CPG, Pet, and / or Private label business Account Management. B2B experience and relationships preferred.
Computer and Technology Skills :
The successful candidate must be proficient in MS Office applications, SAP, and / or other ERP systems.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
German language speaking skills are an advantage.
Mathematical Skills :
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
