Job Description - HR Coordinator (240007RQ)
The Human Resources Department is seeking an HR Coordinator who will serve as the point of contact for many HR initiatives and projects.
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Human Resources Coordinator is a key position in the Human Resources Department of CPCS, providing excellent customer service and administrative support in this front facing role at the main office (75 Federal Street).
The HR Coordinator’s primary areas of responsibility will be supporting the overall functioning of the HR department, producing and maintaining data analytics, supporting key HR projects, and overseeing the coordination of the summer internship program.
To be successful in this position, the HR Coordinator must be highly organized, creative, and detail-oriented. Serving as a point of contact for many HR initiatives and projects, the HR Coordinator enjoys interacting with people in a friendly work environment.

The HR Coordinator reports directly to the Assistant Director of Human Resources and receives guidance from the Chief Human Resources Officer.
The HR Coordinator will be required to be in person a minimum of two days per week or as needed, as determined by the manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The duties of the HR Coordinator include but are not limited to :
- Providing excellent customer service to all who interact with the HR Department in person and via email and phone;
- Monitoring the Department’s phone and email communications and tracking and forwarding requests to appropriate HR team members;
- Coordinating HR Department projects, including organizing trainings, managing groups, preparing presentations, and assisting in overseeing implementation plans;
- Maintaining systems for the collection and statistical analysis of HR Department data and assisting in the preparation of data to present to stakeholders;
- Assisting the CHRO and HR Department with special projects as assigned and providing back-up for other HR staff when needed;
- Overseeing the centralized internship recruitment program, including facilitating the application, selection, and onboarding process;
- Organizing and maintaining HR policies, personnel files, records, and manuals;
- Maintaining and organizing the HR Office Suite, including ordering of office supplies and other materials needed for the HR Department;
- Coordinating the incoming and outgoing mail for the Department;
- Managing the HR Newsletter with support from other HR team members;
- Monitoring and updating the HR Intranet pages;
- Providing administrative and organizational support by cross-training and supporting Payroll, Benefits, and Recruiting & Hiring on projects and tasks as needed; and,
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s Degree; a minimum of three years of full-time, or equivalent part-time, professional experience in Human Resources or any equivalent combination of training, education, and experience required;
- Must have access to a personal computer with home internet access sufficient to work remotely.
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
- A bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field is preferred;
- Be committed to promoting zealous advocacy on behalf of a culturally and geographically diverse, low-income population;
- Possess demonstrated excellent communication (both written and verbal) skills;
- Demonstrated proficiency in and experience with Microsoft Office systems (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, and Power Point);
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and to exercise considerable judgment and discretion; Excellent customer service;
- Have the capacity to pay close attention to detail across various platforms while working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple projects and tasks;
- Work effectively in a variety of environments, including independently, as part of a team, and in partnership with other stakeholders;
- On-site presence at CPCS main office at an agreed upon number of days per week (hybrid schedule) and the ability to travel as needed.
