The Food & Nutrition Department Coordinator is a member of the healthcare team who takes direction from and is supervised by the Director, Managers, Executive Chef or designee. Performs the clerical, reception / communication and coordination tasks for the department in accordance with the established policies and procedures. This position functions in a multi-skilled environment, which requires the application of customer service and clerical skills with team member related activities.

Responsibilities

A day in the life of a Food and Nutrition Coordinator at Hackensack Meridian Health includes :

• Performs team member onboarding and maintenance of team member files (department orientation, ID badge, Kaba clock registration, access requests for email, direct deposit).
• Team member Liaison for HMH policies, procedures, eLearnings, surveys, in-service completion.
• Timekeeping in the payroll system for department as assigned.
• Communicates invoice correction, repair or maintenance work orders with vendors, EVS, maintenance.
• Electronically inputs Invoices, Department Requisitions, Retail sales summaries (eFinance data entry).
• Executes physician billing for credited meals.
• Operates and maintains all office equipment and supplies.
• Assists with display of corporate-provided marketing materials in retail area.
• Assists with Micros Symphony Oracle POS system page design for electronic cash registers, kiosks.
• Manages eCatering requests, assists with set up and delivery of functions.
• Assists in retail services as needed.
• Interacts with team members, retail customers.
• Coordinates with EVS requests for cafe cleanliness.
• Answers, places and transfers telephone calls.
• Records and relays messages.
• Completes incident reported via OneLink as requested.
• Maintains communication within the FAN department and between the FAN department and other hospital departments.
• Other duties and / or projects as assigned.

Starting Minimum Rate

Minimum rate of $22.77 Hourly
