BWC's core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, however, daily start / end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments. Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC's seven offices across the state. BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7 : 00am or as late as 8 : 30am. Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

Major Worker Characteristics :
Knowledge of : accounting; BWC policies, procedures, laws, rules & regulations
Skill in : use of general office equipment (e.g. copier, fax, calculator, phone); use of PC & peripheral equipment (e.g. printer, scanner, UDS); use of Microsoft Office software (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, Access); use of BWC-specific software (e.g. CoreSuite, OnBase, Cambridge, BWC Web, Cognos)
Ability to : add, subtract, multiply & divide whole numbers; calculate fractions, decimals & percentages; copy records precisely without error; complete routine forms & prepare standard reports & business correspondence; prepare accurate, concise & meaningful reports; proofread technical materials, recognize errors & make corrections; define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions; use proper research methods in gathering data; gather, collate & classify information about data, people or things; understand manuals & verbal instructions, technical in nature; answer routine & technical telephone inquiries from public; handle routine & sensitive inquiries from & contacts with other government officials, general public, claimants & / or providers; make proper referrals within agency & external sources; communicate (i.e. written & oral) professionally with injured workers, employers, providers & the public; generate properly formatted business correspondence; work alone on most tasks & work as part of a team.
