Position Details :

Job Description : Provide Speech and Language Therapy Services :
- Assess : Evaluate students' speech, language, and communication skills.
- Develop Plans : Create and implement individualized treatment plans to address specific needs.
- Conduct Therapy : Provide both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to students' IEP goals.
Assessment and Evaluation :
- Diagnose : Conduct comprehensive evaluations to diagnose speech and language disorders.
- Utilize Tools : Use standardized tests and informal assessment tools.
- Collaborate : Work with teachers and parents to gather input and share findings.
Documentation and Reporting :
- Maintain Records : Keep accurate records of students' progress and therapy sessions.
- Prepare Reports : Create detailed reports for IEP meetings, documenting goals, progress, and modifications.
- Ensure Compliance : Adhere to federal, state, and school district regulations.
Collaboration and Consultation :
- Support Staff : Work closely with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs.
- Provide Training : Offer training and resources to educators on strategies to enhance speech and language development in the classroom.
- Team Participation : Join multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop comprehensive support plans.
Professional Development :
- Stay Informed : Keep current with advancements in speech-language pathology through continuing education.
- Attend Workshops : Participate in workshops, conferences, and seminars to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Engage in Learning Communities : Be an active participant in professional learning communities within the school district.
Requirements :
- Masters degree in Speech and Communicative Disorders or a related field
- Previous experience in school or pediatric settings
- SLP license and teaching certifications for Illinois
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and colleagues
Compensation & Benefits :
- Employment Type : W-2 Employment Contract
- Rate : $50-60 per hour
