Altron is seeking an entry / junior level software engineer with 0-2 years of experience to support development and advancement of a large-scale distributed network data aggregation platform primarily focused on collection of sensor and performance data for algorithmic and machine-learning (ML) analysis.
Please Note : This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Ideal candidate will have a BS in Computer Engineering (or similar degree) and must have strong experience with :
- Linux (both Debian / Ubuntu and RHEL / CentOS), including ability to navigate a shell and knowledge of built-in and simple commands
- Bash / shell scripting
- Java, C++ and / or Python
Candidate must have some experience with :
- Makefiles
- Docker containers including creation, customization, interaction, and debugging
Additional experience desired with :
- Rust
- Flutter / Dart
- Google Protobufs
- JSON
- Docker API
- Microservice based architectures
- Distributed networked systems
Responsibilities :
- Research and develop hardware sensor solutions for data collection
- Integrate sensor solutions with Raspberry Pis via GPIO, Bluetooth, WiFi, or physical network
- Integrate armament sensor solutions with our hardware solution
- Develop containerized hardware / software interfaces to collect sensor data
- Collect and analyze sensor data to capture metrics and identify thresholds
- Design and development of analytics that will be rules-based and machine learning driven
Education / Experience B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering
