What we are looking for

Design Works Gaming is looking for a determined Data Analyst to join our Team in Scottsdale! The Data Analyst will be responsible for inspecting, cleansing, transforming, and modelling data from games played by millions of users.

The ideal candidate will have an excellent ability to think outside of the box and be genuinely excited and enthusiastic about learning.

How you'll grow

At Design Works Gaming, you will be a part of a close-knit team of data analysts and mathematicians. You will utilize SQL to access the data, Python to automate tasks in Jenkins and Bamboo, and Power BI to present data to all stakeholders.

Your Role and Impact :

  • Collaborate with data analysts and stakeholders to create reports and present data using Power BI
  • Utilize in-depth knowledge of Data Analysis
  • Provide intermediate analytic programming support (e.g., Python or SQL)
  • Participate in daily stand-up sessions with your team to review work in progress and collaborate to enhance processes or find solutions
  • Work closely with the engineering team to translate data from native format to usable, readily available data to meet business intelligence and analytical needs.
  • Monitor data quality and take corrective action; automate data quality monitoring and improve auditing capabilities
  • Work with our cloud-based platform in Microsoft (Azure & SQL Server), manipulating data through multiple Microsoft-provided services
  • Develop new methods and streamline existing processes for collecting, storing, cleaning, validating, and visualizing data
  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
  • Experience in data analysis or statistical analysis
  • Programming experience in Python and SQL
  • Proficient in Power BI
  • Ability to synthesize complex or diverse information; Collects and researches data; Uses intuition and experience to complement data
  • Ability to generate creative solutions; Translates concepts and information into reports for stakeholders; Uses feedback to modify designs;

Applies design principles; Demonstrates attention to detail

  • Ability to be creative in the context of market demand

Preferred Qualifications :

Ability to apply statistical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, and correlation techniques
