About The Position
- Job Title : Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Operating Room - General Surgery Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day 3x12-Hour (07 : 00 - 19 : 30) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years of OR RN experience required License : Nebraska RN License required, 4-6 weeks to obtain Certifications : BLS required Must-Have : Predominantly 3 / 4 in Ortho and / or Neuro skillsets- Experience with a majority of the following cases : Lap chole, Lap appy, Ex lap, I&D, Bariatric, Colorectal, PEG & Trach- DaVinci experience highly preferred- Oncology, Ortho, Neuro experience highly preferred Job Description : Weeknight call requirements : 1-2 nights per week on average- Weekend call requirements : Approximately every 4-5 weeks (24 hours Saturday or Sunday, 1-2 days / month)- Block schedule cannot be accommodated- First-time travelers not accepted- Facility requires all contracts to end on a Sunday- Work week is Monday-Sunday- 100% nicotine-free facility;
- use of nicotine puts the traveler contract at risk for immediate termination- Travelers must attend a mandatory charting class the Friday of orientation week unless told otherwise by their unit / department manager- Scrubs : Mandatory gray scrubs with the facility logo printed on the back;
facility provides OR scrubs- Weekend / Holiday Requirement : Two weekends in a four-week schedule period (Saturday / Sunday for day shift, Friday / Saturday for night shift)
