Tax Compliance Associate
As a Tax Compliance Associate specializing in Sales Tax, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization's compliance with all relevant tax laws and regulations.
You will focus on Sales Tax compliance, managing all aspects of sales tax reporting, filing, and audits. This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a deep understanding of tax laws applicable to our industry.
Responsibilities :
- Sales Tax Compliance : Manage all aspects of sales tax compliance for Healthcare / Real Estate / Senior Living facilities, including preparation, filing, and payment of sales tax returns in accordance with state and local regulations.
- Tax Planning and Analysis : Conduct regular reviews of sales tax processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to changing tax laws.
Provide recommendations for optimizing sales tax processes to minimize tax liabilities.
- Audits and Examinations : Coordinate and facilitate sales tax audits and examinations conducted by tax authorities. Prepare necessary documentation, respond to inquiries, and work closely with external auditors to ensure compliance and resolve any discrepancies.
- Research and Interpretation : Stay informed about changes in tax laws and regulations related to sales tax in the Healthcare / Real Estate / Senior Living industry.
Conduct research and provide guidance on complex tax issues to ensure accurate interpretation and compliance.
Documentation and Record Keeping : Maintain accurate records and documentation related to sales tax filings, payments, and audits.
Ensure all relevant documentation is organized and readily accessible for internal reviews and external audits.
Cross-Functional Collaboration : Collaborate with internal departments, including Finance, Accounting, and Legal, to ensure alignment on tax compliance matters and facilitate communication regarding sales tax implications for business operations.
Requirements :
- Bachelors in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 2+ years related work experience
$60,000 - $75,000 a year
