Koester Construction is seeking a Project Engineer looking to join a general contractor with a great team atmosphere and the opportunity to grow in their position.
2+ years of commercial construction project coordination experience is required, and 3-5 years is preferred. If you have a track record of effectively communicating, coordinating, and helping your team complete quality work on time and within budget, we invite you to apply.

Qualifications
- 2-5 years of commercial construction experience
- Excellent organization and communication skills
- Positive attitude, team player, and fun to be around
- Sets high goals and works hard to achieve them
- Enjoys providing organization to the bidding, estimating, development, and construction management process
- Ability to anticipate and resolve issues in a way that helps the entire team succeed
- Communicates effectively with the entire project team, including architects, engineers, owners, inspectors, and subcontractors
- Skilled in listening, assessing issues, and has the ability to solve problems independently
- Ability to participate in multiple projects while staying organized and complying with deadlines
- Understands project budgets and manages job costs effectively
- Knowledge of construction means, methods, and techniques
Job Responsibilities
- Bid solicitation, follow up, and management
- Takeoff and estimating
- Subcontract and purchase order writing
- Submittal solicitation and approval
- Prepare and process change orders
- Process and manage billings, lien waivers, and job reports
- Lead meetings, create agendas and take minutes
- Prepare and distribute close-out documents
