About The Position
Job Title : Cardiovascular Technologist I Job Specialty : Cardiac Cath Lab Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 8 Hrs 5x8 Hr Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours / week Experience : Entry-level License : ARRT Cardiovascular Interventional Radiography (CV) or successful completion of Paramedic training program within 12 months of hire Certifications : BLS must be current upon hire Must-Have : Associate’s degree or higher;
Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program or successful completion of Paramedic training program Job Description : Work under immediate to general supervision of a mentor / preceptor to deliver specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic technology services.
- Provide safe, high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective patient-centric care and support services.- Prepare patients for procedures and correlate clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians.
- Communicate and collaborate with patients, families, and multidisciplinary care team members to achieve desired clinical outcomes.
- Utilize specialized cardiovascular and / or radiologic equipment and techniques for diagnostic, interventional, and surgical procedures.
- Conduct post-procedure reviews to confirm completion, documentation, and technical quality consistent with protocols.- Transfer images and data to appropriate archival systems;
enter technical data / findings for physician reporting.- Perform operator-level quality control checks, cleaning, disinfecting, and maintenance per guidelines.
- Participate in continuing education, professional development, and research activities to maintain competencies.- Demonstrate skill in applying principles of cardiovascular and / or radiologic technology, and medical ethics.
- Maintain accurate records and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.- Exercise discretion in handling confidential information and sound judgment.
- Remain calm in stressful situations and demonstrate attention to detail.- Display initiative and commitment toward completing assignments efficiently.
- Work and communicate with staff, patients, and families in a professional and compassionate manner.
