Job Description

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative / in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

BAE Systems Inc., Electronic Systems is recruiting a senior Operations leader for the Electronic Attack Solutions (EAS) Product Line.

The Electronic Attack Solutions portfolio specializes in providing proven airborne situational awareness, and electronic attack capability across a variety of platforms.

This individual will be the Product Line Operations Director, responsible for Operations strategy, execution, and delivery of the EAS product line.

In this role, you will work with the Product Line Leadership to ensure manufacturing and supply chain aspects of programs in the portfolio are executed efficiently and to the satisfaction of internal and external customers.

You will oversee strategy, proposal preparation, planning, coordination, and execution of all manufacturing operations to ensure delivery of quality products to prime and government customers.

You will create capacity and capability plans for current and forecasted work and provide strategic leadership with emphasis on long-range planning for manufacturing aspects of various product portfolios, working closely with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Finance and Contracts.

You will work closely with the Product Stream Managers, Technical Operations and Supply Chain teams supporting the product line.

Essential Functions

  • Set departmental goals and objectives consistent with the Product Line business plan.
  • Management of operations, including staffing, budgeting, production planning, procurement, manufacturing, and logistics.
  • Ensure that all operations are conducted in conformance with all quality, safety and environmental requirements.
  • Ensure that the products produced for the customer meet all specification requirements and are delivered on time.
  • Provide Manufacturing support to Engineering, Quality, Continuous Improvement, etc.
  • Develop long-range planning for utilization of the manufacturing facilities.
  • Drive continuous improvement within the Product Line, teach best practices across the organization.
  • Maintain a strong, team relationship across the business and customers.
  • Mentor staff and develop robust succession plans.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Must have ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Must be able to plan for production requirements and assess overall resource requirements to meet customers’ demands.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to think creatively and demonstrate exceptional organizational and management skills.
  • Good oral and written communications skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

  • Understanding of Military Specifications and BAE Systems policies and processes.
  • Experienced is operations delivery of products across various lifecycle phases (Development, Production, Sustainment)
  • Technical background preferred.
  • Business management of Manufacturing Operations.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range : $164000 - $278800

Please note : This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to : business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
