Amharic-English Legal Translator

A company is looking for an Amharic to / from English - Legal Documentation - Translator, Editor, and / or Transcriber.

Key Responsibilities

Translate, edit, and transcribe legal documents and audio files from Amharic to English and vice versa

Edit audio transcriptions and legal documents while ensuring accuracy and adherence to legal terminology

Review and certify the quality of other translators' work as needed

Required Qualifications

U.S. citizen willing to undergo a government background check for Public Trust Clearance

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

Minimum of 3 years of experience in translation and / or editing between English and a foreign language

Minimum of 3 years of experience in audio transcription with relevant software proficiency

Familiarity with legal terminology in both English and Amharic
