We are looking for a qualified behavioral specialist to observe, assess, and treat individuals with emotional or behavioral problems and disorders.
The behavioral specialist will develop and implement treatment plans, maintain progress reports, and provide support to the patients.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate and record a patients’ progress, modifying the plan of care and trying new treatments as needed.
- Educate patients and their families about what to expect from the recovery process and how to cope with challenges throughout the process.
- Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the individual’s behavior, skills, and abilities, surrounding environment, network of informal and paid supports, family, and caregivers.
- Develop and implement a holistic structured behavioral treatment plan (Detailed Plan) including specific realistic goals which can also be utilized by other providers and informal supports.
- Train family, informal supports, and other providers to effectively use the basic principles of the behavioral plan.
- Conduct regular reassessments and data collection of the effectiveness of the behavioral treatment plan, making adjustments as needed.
Skills Required :
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology.
- Two (2) years of experience developing and implementing intensive behavioral treatment plans.
- Excellent observational and problem-solving skills.
