We are hiring immediately for an HVAC Assessment Lead.

• Location : Miami, FL
• Schedule : M-F Days - On Call
• Requirement : HVAC Experience

Halcyon Facilities Group is an infrastructure project management company focused on stabilizing critical MEP systems for clients in the healthcare and higher education sectors.

Through engineered assessments that evaluate operating performance, Halcyon develops refurbishment work to improve operating conditions and reliability of critical infrastructure.

An HVAC Assessment Lead is responsible for executing assessments for assets such as air handling units, boilers, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, and pumps.

Upon completion of assessments, the HVAC Assessment Lead generates recommended actions to refurbish assets and coordinates with contractors to ensure execution of work addresses all operating deficiencies identified through the assessments.

Responsibilities :

• Utilize HVAC assessment templates to perform assessments on equipment that lead to upgrades / replacements recommendations of HVAC equipment.
• Must have HVAC controls knowledge and the ability to modulate equipment and assess performance of the equipment.
• Develop scopes of work for poorly operating equipment and work with qualified vendors to develop project cost estimates.
• On project scope approval, oversee refurbishment projects on equipment previously assessed to accomplish the recommendations and observations identified in the assessment.
• Review maintenance logs, perform rounds, and assess quality of P.M. work orders, tests, and inspections.
• Make recommendations for modification or improvement of preventive maintenance tasks and frequencies based on field observations.
• Record all field observations and critically evaluate observations to arrive at conclusions related to condition and performance of assets.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• 5 years experience as a Maintenance Technician in an institutional setting in an engineering or maintenance subject area.
• Previous experience as sales engineer, project manager, or customer-facing role for HVAC equipment manufacturer, mechanical contractor, commissioning or Test and Balance firm highly preferred.
• HVAC certification or license highly preferred.
• Experience working with blueprints and schematics.
• Situational awareness and capability to engage with maintenance and engineering staff to effectively extract useful information about assets and maintenance practices.
• A general understanding of electro-mechanical equipment.
• Proficiency in the use of manometers, psychrometers, thermal imaging cameras, and basic hand tools required.
• Ability to repeatedly lift 50 pounds and perform strenuous labor for extended periods of time.
• Availability to work off hours (nights and weekends).
