Title : Circulation / Technical Processing Library Assistant (Part-time)

Salary : $18.71 per hour

Schedule :

Approximately 20 hours per week ( evening and Saturday availability is required ). Weekday shifts are scheduled on a static basis. Saturday shifts are scheduled on a rotating basis.

Job Summary :

• Performs procedures related to the circulation of materials, including but not limited to check in and out of library material, collection of fees and fines, registration of library patrons, renewing library patron cards, and shelving materials.
• Performs general reception duties including fielding in-person and on the telephone informational and directional questions from patrons.
• Shares responsibilities for item repair and processing of items for circulation.
• Must be able to exercise judgment in public service situations, be organized, and be able to multitask as needed.
• Works effectively and courteously with the general public and other employees.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements :

This position accrues paid sick, vacation, and personal days.
