ESTIMATED PAY RANGE

$80,000 - $85,000, DOE

JOB SUMMARY

As a Design Engineer - Solidworks, in Detroit Lakes, MN, you may : develop and design 3D-CAD models and technical drawings for roller frames, drum assemblies, and transport systems using Solidworks; collaborate with manufacturing and field teams to ensure designs meet performance, safety, and regulatory requirements; integrate custom features based on client specifications and optimize for load-bearing, wear resistance, and ease of operation; analyze field data and feedback to improve product performance and support innovation, and work collaboratively with suppliers and other Applied partners.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Proficient in Solidworks and mechanical design principles; a minimum of three years previous experience is required
• Understand hydraulics, structural integrity, and transport mechanisms
• Comfortable with a hands-on approach to prototyping, testing, and refining mechanical systems
• Show initiative in identifying design improvements and cost-saving opportunities
