Class A CDL Driver

Location : Wilmington, CA

Pay : $27 - $32 per hour DOE

Hours : M-F, 5 AM - 5 PM (Overtime, out-of-town, and weekend work possible)

Clean Harbors in Wilmington, CA is seeking a Class A CDL Driver to operate a variety of heavy and light-duty trucks and work equipment at customer sites.

Vehicles may include vacuum trucks, Cruscos, guzzlers, and roll-offs. This position involves performing driving and non-driving duties both on and off customer sites related to hazardous waste clean-up.

Key Responsibilities :

• Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner.
• Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers when needed (team atmosphere where everyone helps).
• Operate a variety of Class A trucks.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Perform manual labor on-site to meet customer needs.
• Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements / regulations.
• Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
• Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
• Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
• Safely observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures.
• Observe all company environmental health and safety operating guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ability to be on call for emergency response on a rotating basis every other week (if applicable).
• Handle site remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials as needed.

Required Qualifications :

• Valid Class A CDL with tanker, trailer, and hazmat endorsements.
• Ability to use various mobile devices.
• Ability to perform physical functions as per job requirements.
• Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical (by position).
• Must comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard (29 CFR 1910.34) by meeting facial hair standards for positions requiring respirators.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Commercial driver experience.
• Hazmat and tanker endorsements.
• Previous Hazmat experience.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission.
• Previous manual labor experience.
