We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Westfield, Indiana. In this role, you will have the chance to utilize your accounting skills in a dynamic and engaging environment.
Your primary responsibilities will include managing various aspects of financial operations, from preparing financial statements to supporting budget preparations.
Responsibilities :
- Carry out daily preparation of financial reports and record daily bank transactions into the general ledger.
- Prepare and maintain trial balance and financial statements, such as balance sheet, income statement, and cash flows.
- Conduct monthly bank reconciliations and review accounts to rectify any discrepancies.
- Offer clerical and administrative support where necessary.
- Assist in preserving an orderly accounting filing system, with a focus on reconciliations and journal entries.
- Uphold adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by staying updated, filing reports, and advising management on required actions.
- Manage schedules related to prepaids, rents, and depreciation by tracking fixed assets.
- Perform any other duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar accounting role
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations
- Solid understanding and experience with General Ledger and Journal Entries
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with Month End Close procedures
- Familiarity with QuickBooks
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality
- Proficient in analyzing financial data and promptly spotting trends or discrepancies.
