Assembler 1
Role Overview :
The Assembler I position are responsible for assembly of pre- and sub-assembly components and performing ground bond testing.
This includes packing completed electrical systems, using hand tools and PIV equipment to perform these tasks to comply with codes and standards of a work cell or area.
The Assembler I will demonstrate proficiency in using blueprints, Manufacturing Tracking System (MTS), On Floor Sheets (OFS), and hand tools required in assembly.
The Assembler I will demonstrate ability interacting with MTS and Quality by driving continuous improvement through active product resolution, reporting turnback's and documenting assembly defects or supplier failures.
The Assembler I will participate in daily toolbox meetings and ensure shop floor management elements such as Tier 1, QCPC, 5S, Material Review Board (MRB) and other job duties assigned.
On a typical day you will :
Perform assembly of mechanical components according to work instructions (MTS) and / or OFS.
Utilize PIV for crating and packing requirements.
Perform basic assembly rework on various assemblies when a defect is identified to resolve the underlying issue.
Utilize shop floor management system to drive Tier 1, 5S, and cross-training principles to promote continuous improvement.
Participate in required Level I OJT and cross-training on Level II assembly.
Perform other duties as requested or assigned by supervisor or manager.
What You Will Need to be Successful :
Minimum Education : HS diploma or GED
Preferred Education : High School
Minimum Experience : 0 month-1 year in production assembly
Preferred Experience : +1 years in manufacturing environment
Additional Essential Job Requirements
- Comply with all EH&S policies and regulations, including wearing proper PPE.
- Comply with Key Product Characteristic (KPC) requirements as specified.
- Understand implications and impact of Manufacturing Tracking System (MTS) production schedule.
- Understand tool life and be able to notify maintenance as necessary for tool repair or replacement.
- Ensure that work area remains clean and free of debris and promote continuous improvement by utilizing the 5S principles.
- Attend Continuous Improvement (CI) Superday Training within the first year.
