VCA Animal Wellness Center of Marin is looking for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or RVT to join our team! Our hospital is a 2 doctor General Practice with a tenured team and room to grow.

Our hospital is well maintained and equipped, and the team is very tight knit and supportive of one another. We are looking for a candidate with at least 1-2 years of veterinary experience.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Veterinary Assistant to join our team. As a Veterinary Assistant or RVT at VCA Animal Wellness Center of Marin you will play a vital role in assisting our veterinarians in providing top-notch care to our beloved animal patients.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a facility that prioritizes the health, safety, and emotional well-being of both pets and their owners.

Key Responsibilities :

Veterinary Assistants are expected to be proficient in :

• Radiology
• Laboratory work
• Venipuncture
• Pharmacy
• Patient recovery
• Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals
• Client education
• Anesthesia and dentistry would be ideal, but is not required

RVT's are expected to be proficient in the above skills, plus :

• Anesthesia monitoring
• Surgical preparation and assisting
• Dentistry
• Catheter placement

Qualifications :

• Minimum of 1 year in the veterinary setting
• Passion for animal care and well-being.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle animals with care and compassion.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures.
• Fear Free Certification is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $22-32 / hour depending on licensing and experience.
