Job Title : Physical Therapy Assistant Job Specialty : Physical Therapy Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Shift, Monday to Friday, 8 : 00 a.

m. to 5 : 00 p.m. Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 2 years of experience; primarily outpatient experience preferred.

License : Credentialed by the relevant State Physical Therapy Board. Certifications : Current instruction verification in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Must-Have : Inpatient experience is a must. Job Description : - Collaborate with a physical therapist to provide physical therapy services under their direction and supervision.

  • Implement selected components of patient / client interventions (treatment).- Obtain data related to the interventions provided.
  • Modify selected interventions to either progress the patient / client as directed by the physical therapist or ensure patient / client safety and comfort.
  • Assist the physical therapist in treating individuals across all ages, from newborns to the elderly.- Address medical problems or other health-related conditions that limit movement and the ability to perform functional activities in daily life.
  • Provide patient care in inpatient, outpatient, and home health settings.- Maintain astute communication skills with employees, physicians, visitors, administration, and the public.
  • Adjust to various job situations that involve different people and projects, requiring some independent action and judgment.
  • Operate equipment related to the position and perform technical procedures.- Work in a state-of-the-art, newly built Rehabilitation Gymnasium that is clean, well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned.
  • Be aware of possible exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases. Special Demands : - Must have the ability and competency to perform technical procedures.
  • Speak intelligently and professionally in front of others.- Exercise supervisory and management skills where necessary.

Working Environment : - A state-of-the-art, clean, well-lighted, heated, and air-conditioned rehabilitation gymnasium.- Awareness of potential exposure to unpleasant sights, smells, and infectious diseases.
