Experiential Learning Agreement Specialist
Overview :
Directly responsible for the administration of all contractual activities and student affiliation agreements for Experiential Learning.
Must have excellent communication, organizational, time management and computer skills, be personable with an eye for detail, possess the ability to take initiative and the ability to manage a variety of projects concurrently while meeting tight deadlines.
Responsibilities :
Interface with internal clients and legal personnel as well as outside legal offices and contracting parties in connection with educational agreement matters.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Facilitate the completion of contract templates for the purpose of (1) clinical rotations for EVMS legacy programs, (2) non-clinical practica for EVMS legacy programs, (3) visiting students within the schools of medicine and health professions as well as clinical departments on campus, and (4) ODU School of Nursing.
Act as a point of contact for other departments and external partners with the contract initiation process and contract negotiations.
Will act as a liaison with the Office of General Counsel for student agreements to ensure compliance with Institutional policies and procedures.
Review incoming contracts and / or contract changes for issues that are inconsistent with Institutional processes and act as liaison between Experiential Learning and Office of the General Counsel to resolve contracting issues.
Track contract negotiation, execution, and renewal status; maintain electronic contracts databases; run scheduled and on demand reports as necessary.
Periodically review standard templates for regulatory or accreditation changes and initiate discussions with leadership regarding necessary changes.
Coordinate and assist in the development of contracting policies and procedures related to student affiliation agreements and provide training to other departments on same.
Works with the Executive Director, Director and other departmental staff in the review of Experiential Learning student housing leases, clinical preceptor payments, department event contracts and other procurement agreements and processes necessary to facilitate the office of Experiential Learning.
Performs other contracting duties as assigned.
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience is preferable but not required. Progressively responsible experience in customer service;
experience in an academic department, community programs, or other academic enterprise preferred. Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple contract negotiations simultaneously is required. Must be able to set and appropriately modify priorities with internal clients on an ongoing basis, manage client and third party expectations and deliver results within reasonably established timelines
