Primary duties include
- Identify and leverage opportunities to share news and stories aligned with the strategic priorities of Student Affairs and Academic Support, contributing creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and collaborating with various departments to gather content.
- Conduct interviews with students, faculty, and staff to gather personal stories for engaging content that supports the divisions objectives.
- Create and edit content in various formats, including digital and print, ensuring accuracy and alignment with the divisions goals, and maintain a consistent brand image.
- Develop content for media advisories, news releases, letters, speeches, and presentations tailored to specific audiences to effectively communicate information.
- Monitor and analyze content performance, making data-driven adjustments for optimization, and stay updated on industry trends and best practices in content creation and marketing.
- Assist with editing and proofreading team content, ensuring it is error-free, consistent, and adheres to style and branding guidelines.

- Working at a globally recognized, high-impact research university committed to a superior student Minimum Qualifications Bachelors degree and 2 or more years of experience, which may be substituted by equivalent combination of certification, training, education, and / or experience.
Preferred Qualifications Bachelors degree in public relations, communications, marketing, journalism or a related field and two years of related experience.
Proven experience in writing a variety of content types, including feature and news stories, letters, brochures, marketing emails, speeches and copy for social media, websites, advertisements, video and event scripts, signs and presentations.

Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative ideas for content and messaging. Collaborate with various departments and teams to gather information and source material for content creation.
Conduct interviews with subjects, including students, faculty, staff and other relevant individuals, to gather information and personal stories that can be used to create engaging and compelling content in support of the divisions objectives.

Create content for digital platforms, including websites, social media and email marketing, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment with the divisions goals.
Develop content for print publications, such as brochures, newsletters, magazines, fundraising appeals and annual reports, maintaining a consistent brand image and message.
Prepare content for media advisories, news releases, letters, speeches, scripts and presentations, including PowerPoint slides and other visual materials, to effectively communicate information to various stakeholders.
Tailor content to target audiences, adjusting style, tone and messaging as needed to engage and resonate with specific groups.
