Job Summary :

As a caregiver with Senior Helpers in San Juan Capistrano, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of seniors by assisting them with daily activities and providing companionship.

Our caregivers are the heart of our company, providing compassionate care and support to our clients in the comfort of their own homes.

Responsibilities :

• Personal Care : Assist clients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
• Companionship : Provide companionship and engage in meaningful conversations and activities to keep clients mentally active and engaged.
• Meal Preparation : Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed.
• Light Housekeeping : Perform light housekeeping duties to ensure a clean and safe living environment for clients.
• Medication Reminders : Provide reminders to take medications as prescribed by doctors.
• Mobility Assistance : Assist clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring their safety and comfort.
• Errands and Transportation : Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social activities.
• Observing and Reporting : Monitor clients' physical and mental condition, and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.

Requirements :

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience working with seniors or in a caregiving role
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle emergencies and difficult situations calmly and effectively
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening

Compensation and Benefits :

• Standard hourly rates of $18 to $20, paid biweekly.
