Emergency Medicine Physician

Coverage Needed : As soon as credentialed - ongoing Shift times : 5 : 30am-3 : 30pm, 10am-9pm, 2pm-1am, 8pm-6am Clinical Information : Responsible for overseeing APPs on shift Number of beds : 120 bed hospital; ED - 39 beds 10 hall beds as needed Average daily ED census : approximately 135 patients 10-12% admission rate from the ED Level III trauma center (trauma surgeon support on level 1 traumas) Support staff : RNs, techs, RTs, LPNs Common cases : Chest pain, abdominal pain, vomiting, pregnancy related issues, trauma, ortho injuries, pediatrics, shortness of breath, etc. Required : DEA must remain in state to maintain privileges. Provider must be willing transfer and maintain DEA in state for the duration of privileges being active, or obtain a new in state DEA to remain in state for the duration of privileges being active Board Certified or Board Eligible (ABEM) Active TN License and DEA Providers living inside of 50 miles from the facility will be considered "Local", and will not be eligible for this role Required Procedures : Typical ED procedures including intubation, central line placement, chest tube placement, suture, I&D, conscious sedation (peds / adults), fracture / joint reduction (peds / adults), cardioversion, US FAST exams, etc
