Mechanical Technician

Our client, a company that designs, manufactures, distributes, and services a wide range of power solutions, is looking for someone to join their team as a Mechanical Technician. This role is onsite in Bloomfield Connecticut.

This is a 4 month W2 contract

The client is looking for someone to join the team and support the design, testing, and repair of machinery and equipment across a variety of projects. You will assemble and test diesel engine prototypes and related hardware in the client's engineering lab.

What You Will Be Doing

• Modify, test, and repair machinery and equipment under the direction of engineering staff
• Prepare parts sketches, write work orders, and create purchase requests for outside contractors
• Draft detailed drawings or sketches for completion in the drafting room or for fabrication by machine, sheet, or wood shops
• Review project instructions, blueprints, and specifications to plan fabrication, assembly, and testing
• Discuss design changes, manufacturing methods, and assembly techniques with engineers and team members
• Inspect drawings for accuracy and coordinate corrections with designers
• Evaluate tool and drawing designs by measuring dimensions and verifying against specifications
