Summary
The Director of Rehabilitation Services will plan, administer, and direct the operation of rehabilitation programs such as physical, occupational, and speech therapies across the agency.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Works with the Executive Director and other agency leadership to develop short- and long-range plans and goals aimed at providing quality patient care that answers the needs of the community.
- Works with the Executive Director to develop yearly budgets and effective controls on the agency expenditures. Plans department staffing based on projected income and operating expenses.
- Works with the Executive Director and LiveWell team to review pay structures.
- Works with the human resource department and talent acquisition team to participate in the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process.
- Works with the agency to develop interdepartmental training programs for staff.
- Works with the safety committee to establish safety protocols for the agency and to comply with government health and safety regulations.
- Attends meetings and conferences to stay abreast of new methods and technologies for rehabilitation services.
- Works to build community awareness, cooperation, and financial support.
- Oversees the daily workflow of the department.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Qualifications
2 years of experience as a licensed therapist (PT) in a healthcare setting is required.
2+ years in an acute or post-acute care setting is preferred.
Active state therapy licensure (PT).
Valid CPR certification
Valid Driver’s License
