Job Summary : The Material Handler is responsible for loading and unloading materials in the production environment. They must adhere to all safety protocols set by the company and ensure timely delivery of materials. THIS IS A TEMP TO HIRE POSITION. START TIME AT 6 : 00AM, HOURS VARY 8 OR 10 HOURS DEPENDENT ON CUSTOMER NEEDS.

Duties / Responsibilities :

• Storage and Inventory Management :
• Organize and store materials in designated locations within the warehouse or storage area.
• Maintain accurate inventory records using computerized inventory management systems.
• Perform cycle counts and physical inventory audits to reconcile inventory discrepancies.
• Picking and Packing :
• Retrieve materials from storage locations based on work orders.
• Ensure that materials are properly packaged and secured to prevent damage during transit.
• Material Handling Equipment Operation :
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks to move materials within the warehouse.
• Safely operate equipment in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and safety regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and inspections on equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Quality and Safety :
• Follow established procedures and protocols for handling, storing, and transporting materials.
• Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
• Report any safety hazards, accidents, or incidents to supervisors or management.
