Direct Counsel is looking for an attorney with a minimum of 3 to 7 years of general litigation experience to join their office in Fresno, CA.
Labor and Employment Law experience is strongly preferred.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Provide expert legal advice and guidance to clients on a wide range of labor and employment law matters, including hiring practices, workplace discrimination, harassment, employee benefits, wage and hour laws, wrongful termination, and labor union relations.
Interpret and apply federal, state, and local labor and employment laws, regulations, and precedents to address client concerns and resolve legal issues
Represent clients in administrative proceedings, mediation, arbitration, and litigation before various forums such as labor boards, state and federal courts, and regulatory agencies.
Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, severance agreements, non-compete agreements, and employee handbooks to ensure compliance with legal requirements and protect clients’ interests
Prepare legal documents, including complaints, pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements, and advocate on behalf of clients during hearings and trials.
Advise employers on developing and implementing workplace policies and procedures that adhere to labor and employment laws and minimize legal risks.

J.D. From an accredited U.S Law School
Admitted to practice law in California
3-7 years of experience of general litigation experience as an attorney
