What will you be doing?
World Wide Technology, LLC has an opportunity available for a Network Engineer to support our Government Services team located in Columbia, MD.
This position will focus on Engineering and support within a customer's environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Strong technical expertise in Routing and Switching is required
- In-depth knowledge of designing complex Routing and Switching networks
- Ability to troubleshoot large enterprise networks
- Experience in consulting, leading and driving network designs
- Ability to explain technical concepts, give clients guidance and vision about the solution
- Experience with network topology modeling analysis
- Forward thinking with technology solutions like automation and SD-WAN / SD-DC
- Experience with development of build of materials lists, obtaining quotes, and producing technology refresh plans
- Ability to work independently, self-starter required
- Operate WAN testing and network simulation equipment
- Experience working with network security devices (IPS / IDS, Firewalls) and Encryption devices
- Experience developing an architecture road map to include the strategy around topology, hardware, and software in a complex environment
- Experience working with change control and developing procedures for changes within a complex environment
- Ability to develop a technical refresh plan for tracking End of support / life equipment
- In-depth experience with network topology modeling and analysis
- Proven experience with security updates and recommendations
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Secret Security clearance
- 10+ years minimum experience in Network Engineering
- DOD 8570 IAT LVL III Required
- Experience with SD-WAN, VOIP, network and security engineering and design
- Experience with network and security automation preferred.
- Other industry product experience and certifications preferred
